Alan Reid & Rob van Sante
Modern & Traditional Folk Music
Alan has been an ever present member of Battlefield Band since a few months after its inception in 1969. Now, after many wonderful and fulfilling years with the Batties, Alan is moving on to further develop his songwriting skills and concentrate on performing with Rob. Alan’s songs have been a feature of the band's repertoire and are noted for their story telling element, lyricism and strong melody. He was the first to use keyboards as an integral part of a traditional folk band.
Rob is a guitarist of exceptional skill and for many years has lent his ears as sound engineer to B.B. Rob has appeared on many albums displaying his virtuoso vocal ability both as a lead and harmony singer, also showcasing his undoubted instrumental skills to the project in question.
All these strands come together to make a perfect foil to Alan and his music. Alan and Rob together are venturing out in 2011. With a new CD arriving out soon they want to bring their brand of modern and traditional music to their fans worldwide.
Alan and Rob are available for workshops. Please inquire for details.
